after be,seem,become,look,linking verb and is called predicative position

ADJECTIVE USED ONLY AFTER NOUN.

SOME ADJECTIVE AFTER A AND MAINLY AFTER BE VERB.EXAMPLE:ALIKE,AFLOAT,ASLEEP,AWAKE.

a floating leaf.
