Newspaper is the fourth pillar of Bangladesh which helps the important information of the country to reach common people. Today I am going to write my publication on World Press Freedom Day. Thank you Steam Cameroon for hosting such an event. I invite @shahid2030 @nooruleman @hudamalik20 you to participate in this contest.
World Press Freedom Day is celebrated on May 3. Journalists and press workers also celebrate this day in my country. Freedom of the press, fundamental rights of opinion, and freedom of speech are celebrated in honor of the founder. On this day, news and media organizations play an important role in the development of society. Press Freedom Day promotes fundamental values and respect in media. This day is an unforgettable opportunity to appreciate the fundamental rights and freedom of news and media.
I think newspapers do civil society work for our society so my mascot for newspapers would be:
- Increasing awareness in the society: Currently we read a lot of news online so the media can play an important role in making people aware. I think we need to create a positive attitude towards news media among common people.
- Building people's trust in news media: Many people now consider the news media as flatterers and agents of the government because there is so much corruption in the country that the news media is not reporting, so people need to build trust in the minds of the people.
This day is a very important day for journalists. On this day, journalists discuss what they can do by collecting and disseminating information. I think we have become more aware of the importance and freedom of the media. We have learned that an independent press can change the society by highlighting the injustices of our unjust society. On this day media workers can be appreciated and encouraged for their work. Above all this day is important for a journalist as he is aware of the impact of his work.
As active promoters we can create more awareness towards media organizations and the journalistic community. We can be more influential if we help promote more about media ethics, freedom and people's rights. We can increase the influence of the news media through various reports.

This day is important for Media, because on that day Journalists discuss the issues and problems of journalism, and they discuss which new things they can introduce in press.
