Tasty Asian Stir free recipe with @ablaze 🧄🥦🧅🥘
This is a tasty stir fry
I invented this one out of necessity. We didn't have anything particular in for the dinner, so I came up with this recipe. I often do this and happen upon nice original recipes. I love to be creative with my cooking, so don't always follow a recipe, but make my own instead.
You'll need a wok or extra large frying pan for this one. It should feed 3 to 4 people.
Ingredients
Butter/Olive Oil
Garlic
Crushed chillies
1 x Onion
Broccoli
Mushrooms
1 x red pepper
1 x scallion
Bunch of cherry tomatoes
Soy sauce
Fish sauce
2 or 3 chicken breasts
1) Crush some garlic (2 or 3 cloves) and start to fry them with a small bit of butter or olive oil on a medium heat.
2) Add the crushed chillies and mix together.
3) dice up your chicken breasts and add them to your wok. Cover the chicken with the garlic and chilli mix. This is a great time to add your meat as the chilli and garlic Flavours will fuse to the chicken as it cooks.
4) Before allowing the mix to stick to the pan add a table spoon of soy sauce and a table spoon of fish sauce. Your kitchen should now be filled with a lovely mixture of fragrances.
5) Time to chop the brocolli. And put it on the boil for around 7 minutes. Alternatively blast in the microwave in a plastic microwavable dish topped with boiling water for 3 to 4 minutes
6) while waiting for brocoli, chop your peppers, onions and mushrooms and once chicken is almost cooked add them in that order starting with the peppers, after 2.5 minutes add the onion, after another 2 minutes add the mushrooms.
7) Your brocoli should be ready to throw in now. Feel free to add another dash of soy and fish sauce, especially when you add the mushrooms and brocoli, as they soak in the flavours nicely.
8) Chop your tomatoes and scallions now and add it in and fry for another 5 minutes and your ready to go.
9) Simmer and serve with either rice, pasta or noodles.
10) Bon appetite
I really hope you enjoyed reading along and let me know if you try this yourself. I promise you it is hearty, tasty and fairly healthy.
