Wealth status Importance of money in society
A person's worth in society is determined based on various factors. Education, character, social behavior, and professional success are among them. But one aspect is particularly noticeable, that the presence of money or wealth often changes people's view of a person. Rich people usually get more respect and status in society. But the question is, is this respect real or just money? Let us analyze this matter in depth.

Importance of money and social acceptance
People have given special importance to wealth and power since ancient times. Rich people have had the opportunity to become influential since the dawn of civilization. Kings were respected because of their wealth, and even today big businessmen, industrialists, and rich people are highly respected in society.
Money is an inevitable reality in human life. Without money life becomes difficult. Most people in society naturally respect those who are financially strong. Because, they believe that rich people can contribute not only for themselves but also for the betterment of the society.
Is respect real or external?
If respect depends on one's personality, morals, and good deeds, then that is true respect. But if one is honored based on the amount of money alone, it is external and self-interested.
It is often seen that even if a person earns a lot of money but his moral character is weak, the society places him in a high position. This proves that a large section of the society succumbs to money. Many people want to be close to rich people, so that they can benefit in some way. Such relationships are actually based on selfishness and lack true respect.
Money changes people's attitudes
If a poor person suddenly earns a lot of money, society's attitude towards him changes rapidly. Those who did not give him much importance before, want to adopt him. Even the relatives then started doing more charity. On the other hand, if a rich person suddenly becomes poor, then in most cases society loses interest in him. It shows that respect and love of many people depend only on wealth.
The relationship between money and power
Money affects not only individual lives but also at different levels of society. Wealthy people can easily gain political power. Because, politics and economy are closely related to each other. In many cases, without qualification, someone sits in the seat of power and takes control of the society just by the force of money.
But it is also true that many rich people spend their wealth for the welfare of society. They benefit people by running educational institutions, hospitals, charitable organizations. Society's respect for such people can be rightly said.
How is it possible to achieve real respect?
Wealth alone is not enough to earn respect, but it is necessary to have good character, humane qualities and right ethics. Those who, despite being rich, contribute to the welfare of the society, stand by the side of others, are truly respected.
On the other hand, if one wants to gain respect only through money, it is temporary. Because, when money is lost, that respect is also lost. So people should earn respect based on personality and ethics.
Although the relationship between money and respect is deep, money should not be the only measure of respect. True respect comes through morality, humanity, and good deeds. Society should not be blinded by the lure of money and value the truly virtuous people. Only then will it be possible to maintain the balance of respect and wealth in real sense.
