Example of the Prophet
The best of you is that the best one for your wife, and I am the best among you to my wife. (HR. At-Tirmidzi)
There are so many examples of the way of life of Prophet Muhammad SAW, including in terms of living with the family. His wife was respected for his rights, understood, and heard. However, some of us who have only a piece of science have felt as though they were a Prophet, but not morally like morals.
One day, when he returned home and found that no food was ready to be eaten, the Prophet Muhammad chose to be patient and fast. No angry words to his wife. This is indeed a form of noble character that is directly demonstrated in real life, which should be emulated by those who follow the Prophet.
But what is done by some of us as husband often contradict with the way of Prophet SAW. It is as if the wife is a slave whose duties are only obedient to the command and have no right to give any advice. A little less work as expected, directly bombarded with words that hurt.
Though we are ordinary people, weak people who sometimes forget. We need to be passionate to hear other people's suggestions or grievances, including the opinions of wives. The willingness to hear other people's suggestions and grievances not only adds stronger bonds of compassion, but is also a form of respect for human rights.
