Bring wine! my heart with dancing spirit teems,
Wake I fortune's waking is as fleeting dreams;
Quicksilver-like our days are swift of foot,
And youthful fire subsides as torrent streams.
می در کف من نه که دلم در تاب است
وین عمر گریز پای چون سیماب است
دریاب که آتش جوانی آب است*
هشدار که بیداری دولت خواب است

Omar Khayyám, was a Persian polymath, scholar, mathematician, astronomer, philosopher, and poet, widely considered to be one of the most influential thinkers of the Middle Ages. He also wrote numerous treatises on mechanics, geography, mineralogy, astronomy and music.
