Israeli Steemit Community Meetup - SteeMeet :D 20/02/18 (Photos and video inside)

I arrived kinda late which is very typical for me.
The party was going strong. There was a mixed crowd, young and old (me being the old obviously :P).
I Introduced myself by name (not username god forbid :|), and did my most natural thing and went and looked for available chair to sit on and look at my phone, which is what I'm best at, when I started to look at the menu.


Even though I mostly gazed speechless, when I contemplated what to order, Nimrod (nv21089) which previous to this point I only exchanged greetings with, was recommending this drink that everyone was drinking, which looked good, with coffee beans and alcohol. When I was against it as it was probably expansive, and I have a thing about buying expansive stuff in Israel (not doing that, I save for ticket and spend elsewhere :D), he immediatley suggested buying one for me, because that what friends are for. Though I didn't end up ordering alcohol, his kind words touched my frozen heart, and I felt elated as if I did had the drink.


On a sidenote, הזמנתי תה לדדי שי, which is an Israeli internet trope. In my action I unmurdered his inner Rabin, I think. Or at least fulfilled a wish every friend of Deddy has, but only few get to fulfill. I "made" tea for Deddy, but I didn't pay for it as the bills came and were split into 4 and I just got my tea to worry about, and I suspect Nimrod took care of paying for my and Deddy's tea, and I thank him!

Bonus - short candid video capturing the nice and chill atmosphere at the gathering, the awesome yellow lighting the bar was equipped with, and the aforementioned coffee cocktails - all in glorious stabilized 4K!!

If you wonder how come the video is so yellow (not to say why the people are so oompa loompaish) while the pictures are somewhat ok (I'm very critical of my work), that is what shooting in RAW is about. See this as a PSA - shoot RAW and even in really bad lighting you can get ok skin tones in post processing.

Hope there will be more steem community meets ups in the near future. It was really fun, and I'm not just saying it because it was a chance to see  techslut and  mrlightning  in person which is always a delight. We have truly awesome little community of original content creators which I'm proud to be part of.
