Painted skies

Every now and then, I come back to home base... in more ways than one!
What do I mean?

Home base to me means... - my sky shots! Mostly sunset scenes...

And these are usually always taken from my home front window - my 'magic window'! My front row seat to nature's brush of creativity!!

Before anyone asks (again), home is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia! 😊

The view is always the same, other than some trees a lil higher, bushier, or a lil less... some buildings taller, etc.

View same, scenes different... according to what Mother Nature feels like painting on that particular day!

Sunset shot on 6 December 2016

After the recent haze we suffered, the rains came down!
Which is a good thing as it helped clear up the haze, clean the air, the city but a bit too much as we are now having flash floods, even though the cooler atmosphere is... cool!
But... no recent sunsets to record... yet...
So another dig into my archives is called for
And that's why you are looking at a sunset almost three years ago!
Waittt... don't go ~ I have more...

Approximately 10 minutes and things get a little more heated up...
A zoom-in shows a part of the city skyline
backed by this fiery glow from 'lines of sunset', ranging from a golden yellow, to orange and an almost red
What made it interesting was this slash, a blank probably caused by some barrier to the sun rays shining upwards

Zoom in a little further....
We see the minaret of a neighbourhood mosque, and a silhouette of the horizon made up of darker clouds and tree tops in the distance...
And the same backdrop of painted sunset 'lines'!

Let's move it on to the right...
The Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower are brought almost to touching distance
Dark and silent...
It is not time for the lights to come on yet...
Soon...

Soon, we lose all of the 'lines'
Colours change, darkness encroaches, the blues fall softly
even though light of day stubbornly holds on to the horizon
Sometimes one shot is not enough
unless it is a panoramic, like this
This, is almost what the entire view is like to me
The colours and drama being played out just above the horizon
