Yesterday's activity.

The weather was pretty decent and so, as usual, I took a nice long walk into the forest.

I passed by this huge old spruce tree that snapped right off at the base quite a while ago. Now it has some impressive bracket fungi growing from it.

The chunky ones on the stump look quite nice, but the real eyecatcher is this wobbly flat bracket on the fallen over trunk.

It looks a bit like the popular medicinal reishi mushroom, but it is not, it's just a much more common red-belted conk.
