Archaeology: Discovery and Invention
I'm actually finding posting my school work on Steemit interesting, so here is another
Discovery and Invention, there are actually kind of interwoven and cannot be easily separated, and discovery is event that is new to man, it does not just suddenly happen. Discovery reveals the possibilities of progress, and its about finding out something that already exist for the first time.
it aids the advancement of knowledge and materials, we can also say its a way of applying new methods, its not a product of research, discovery is not accidental unlike Invention.
Invention
This is a product of research, proper planning has to be put in place, it does not happen accidentally.
However there are four conditions necessary for discovery. Creating something completely different from the norms with your own idea
- Opportunity
- Observation
- Need
- Appreciation.
Opportunity
Our Environment present various opportunities, how ever it can hinder or be the founding factor of human progress, for instance a canoe cant be devised if there is no navigable water.
Observation
This is the second condition, the frequent observation lead to the discovery of fire, because fire is natural and not man made.
Man later realised fire can be domesticated, and saw the advantages which includes roasting meat, cooking etc.

Appreciation
What you don't appreciate, depreciates man saw the need for the use of fire and it was largely appreciated.
Need
The need for an object motivates it's discovery.
After the discovery of fire man realised there was a need to gather food and seed.
Hunger lead to the discovery that every seed thrown away later germinates .
So man saw there was a need to gather seed.
Discovery has to do with awareness or awakening of one's consciousness to something that is already in existence or occurrence. With proper monitoring and evaluation discovery can be made. While For invention it's about thinking out of the box, modifying into something new or creating something unique and exceptional. Let's learn archeology together here 😂😂😂
Lol...I'm loving the whole idea, let the archaeology class commence officially 😀😀 thank you
🎀✂️Let's cut the ribbon!!! 😉 Official Commencement!
Hahahahha...
Am enjoying this
Carry on
