A FLOWER MORE BEAUTIFUL IN DEATH

The dandelion, Latin name "Taraxacum", is one of the most widely and naturally occurring plants in the UK. Virtually every garden in the country will have them growing naturally, especially if the grass is not mowed, anytime from spring time to late summer - sometimes even into autumn. The are ordinary yet extremely beautiful. The "fluff", which comes out after the flower dies, is actually more beautiful in my opinion. It's one of the most beautifully intricate structures I've ever seen.

The above photo is of a dandelion in my garden. I noticed it when I was mowing the lawn and decided to take the photo before finishing the job :) The reason why they're everywhere is because the wind carries the seed, which has a parachute-like appendage - which is the white fluffy stuff, and gets planted where ever it lands.

Peace & Love,
