Conspiracy Of The BREXIT Virus
I got a text message from my mother this morning about the WHO declaring the Coronavirus Influenza an International threat. All over the world, governments are discouraging their citizens from travelling to China, and putting barriers up for people entering their countries from China.
Here in London, I've seen a huge rise in people walking around wearing face masks. These are "surgical grade" masks that are able to prevent the movement of airborne bacteria and viruses from entering through your nose and mouth.
We've always had people wearing these masks here. They were usually people of Chinese or Japanese heritage. @Maneki-neko did a brilliant video post back in the day explaining this culture from the Japanese point of view. Apparently it's not always to do with germs.
The irony is, these masks actually are not that effective against influenza viruses. The key is the hands. Regularly washing your hands when you come in contact with objects of unknown history, and using anti-viral wipes/sprays, not just anti-bacterial ones, is the most effective way to reduce your chance of getting the virus.
There's also the option of staying home, if you have that option. Coronavirus can't walk up to your door, and come into your house :) . It's times like this that I'm pretty glad I don't have to use the London Underground during rush hour anymore. Even though we don't yet have an outbreak here, I'm sure the virus is in the country already, and you just never know.
CONSPIRACY THEORY
Guys, It's already begun. I read several iterations of the same conspiracy theory on Twitter today, and even heard it mentioned on one of my favourite podcasts. Here I am being the good steward of fake(ish) news that we all are, and spreading it further.
The theory is that the Coronavirus is actually a biological weapon unleashed unto China to throw a monkey wrench in their works. China is making some significant moves lately, and seems to be winning the economic war she's waging against the United States (and the West).
That's all I'm going to say about that. You can construct the rest of the theory in your head ;)
The same sort of thing has been floated around about the Ebola virus. This time, rather than being a weapon in an economic war, it was an agent of "population control".
I used to immediately laugh at this sort of conspiracy theory in the past, but to be honest with you, I've seen some bizarre things prove to be true after all, these days, so I'm not going to poo-poo this one.
BREXIT
I totally forgot it was to kick in today. I don't know why I thought it was later in the year. I'm not quite sure what our status is now. Are we EU or are we not? haha. I am supposed to travel to the mainland in a couple of months. Am I going to need a visa?
I probably need to read up a little on the new rules. God knows, I've got dozens of emails in my inbox from all these companies about BREXIT and what changes they're making. What a colossal money waster. How much do you reckon was spent in legal fees by Amazon and British airways, for example, on BREXIT policy changes.
I don't sell on Amazon anymore but I've still got my FBA account. I get all the business emails written in legalese and I have about 12 of them sent in 5 different languages sitting in my imbox right now waiting to be deleted without being read. Excuse me while I go swipe left.

In essence I sometimes feel that knowing the right way to be careful is what's more important in handling this coronavirus of an issue. Of course we can't stay home, and there must be traces in major countries by now. I do hope something is done by scientists all over the world in tackling it.
Since writing this, I'v seen that at least 2 cases have been found in the UK. I'm sure there are many cases in Nigeria by now, especially with the high traffic between Nigeria and China.
Exactly, the high traffic rate from Nigeria to China would expose Nigeria a lot, I think about seven cases so far in Nigeria and the fear and panic is here
Well we can be sure we will see a cure very soon. The minute it arrived in the UK, you know a "cure" will materialise out of nowhere - just like with Ebola.
Haha that's actually true ebola never really made a mainstay in Most developed countries, let's see how it goes with Corona though
Dear @adetorrent, @josediccus
We're living in such a strange times. 2020 started with some real crazy twists. We hardly managed to avoid conflict between US and Iran and now China is struggling with corona virus outbreak.
Just a moment ago I've read that Starbucks is closing down 2000 it's branches all over China. Did you know that?
I believe that after chinese new year - people will be to afraid to go back to work. So export will most likely collapse. Businesses relying on products build in china (importers) will start having really difficult time - simply because of lack of the product.
I'm seriously worried,
Yours, Piotr
