One of the historical traces in Aceh
Last week I visited the end of Sumatra island, Banda Aceh. On the way back I took time to stop at an Aceh history site called fort Indrapatra. Some researchers say this is a fortress, some say this is a former palace and some say it is a place of worship of a religion.
The old historical site of Aceh city is located around the beach Ujoeng Kareung, precisely in the village of Ladong, Aceh Besar, until now still standing strong. Fortress which is named Fort Indra Patra is one of the fort that is not rotten eaten by age, until now this fort still stands firm and remains tough despite being hit by the Tsunami disaster in 2004.
From a physical point of view of a building will be severely damaged due to age, rain, solar heat, the taking of materials by the public will make parts of the fort collapse slowly. The walls are peeling off, the foundation stone falling one by one. In this location there used to be three buildings of the fort. But now there are only two buildings that are still standing and very unfortunate because some of the construction side was slightly destroyed by the 2004 stunami.
Many historical sites have their own story. Behind him is the story of resistance, rebellion, intrigue and heroism of the people of his day.
