The advantages of SoLoMo for SMEs
Dear Steemit Community
SO: the strength of recommendations
The craze for social networks is well established. It is explained by the ease of exchanges and the spontaneity of interactions. Internet users love to share their experiences and give their opinion, recommend what they like and show what they have made or bought. It's up to you to fuel conversations and spark dialogue with your customers.
LO: acquisition of qualified in-store traffic
Proximity offers influence consumers. Take this into account and optimize your presence in local search results , prepare and distribute targeted offers and adopt geolocated Foursquare-type communication. So you will integrate your points of sale into your digital strategy. This is all the more important since most customers want to touch and test products before they buy them. They want to have experiences that touch them. They want to re connect daily life and online activities.
MO: entrepreneurs active on the mobile web have a head start
With more than 900 million mobile users worldwide, mobile is a booming sector. Broadband connections, user-centric apps and mobile payments are changing the way we live and consume . If you haven't done the mobile shift yet… you should! And start by testing the readability of your site on mobile devices.
The challenges of SoLoMo
SO: between invasive advertisements and false opinions
Some consider that hyper-targeted social advertisements risk manipulating Internet users by leading them to do or buy what they do not need.
Moreover, the freedom of exchanges within social media is such that it requiresconstant monitoring and vigilance from companies to avoid any damage to their reputation.
LO: protection of private life
Localization poses the same problems as social networks, namely questions of respect for private life and the integrity of personal data .
The European Commission has also adopted a draft regulation intended to strengthen the legislative framework for data protection. Right to be forgotten, right to data portability, clarification of the rules relating to the collection of consent and the exercise of individual rights, strengthening of the sanctioning power of local authorities and increased cooperation at European level.
MO: m-shopping, hell or heaven?
Mobile applications suck, mix and reconcile your personal data, your locations and the traces you leave on the web.To overcome this, we must learn the lessons of email marketing and build opt-in databases by asking permission from mobile users to use the information collected.
Finally, the exponential growth in the number of mobile applications raises the question of choice and relevance: it is better to seek advice to navigate this jungle.
For SMEs, developing an effective SoLoMo strategy supposes a global vision of the customer , whatever the channel or medium used, customer recognition wherever he is, complementarity of exchanges between the channels as well as a model of customer journeys. All of this takes time, skill and tactics.

hello @adityajainxds,
One of the things that people want is to have the best product with the lowest price, this is where recommendation plays a very important role, if you want a new mobile phone the best thing to do is to ask your friends what model of phone they use and how is the experience of using it, this gives a very big power to the recommendation.
Thanks for sharing well said for businesses to survive in this competitive market there is much that need to be implemented by SME users and with the help of digital marketing they can take their business to the next level
Greetings @adityajainxds undoubtedly social networks provide us with large numbers of users to which we can easily reach, however, the issue of ease plays a key role and being able to touch, appreciate and observe our products, is still essential in these times. Thanks for the contribution
