Dear Steemit Community

Since I have almost 24/7 access to the Internet, I’d rather read blogs. Sure, I also read books on Kindle and also hardcopy books. But I subscribe to about a hundred blogs that help me learn new things on leadership, news and personal finance among others.

This week’s featured blog is an American personal finance blog called the Wisebread.

What is the Wisebread?
Wisebread is more than a blog, it’s more like an online magazine dedicated to personal finance. It’s not run by a single person. Neither is it a one-man show like most blogs are. Rather, it is a community of bloggers dedicated to educating and empowering people about personal finance. It’s a blog with multiple authors, most of them run their own personal finance blogs, too!

Wisebread
Topics covered
If you go to the homepage of Wisebread, it covers several topics like a good online community should. Here’s the list of topics:

• Personal Finance
• Frugal living
• Career
• Life hacks
• Best Deals
• Credit Cards

Who is it for?
Just by browsing at the topics, and the style of the website, Wisebread generally caters to Americans who are in their late twenties and thirties. The tips presented in the website are well -researched and well-written. It just goes to show that the people behind the blog are committed to giving out their best content to the people who stumble onto their blog.

The website design is minimalist enough, it won’t give you any headache just by browsing and reading. Titles are easily readable and interesting. They feature a lot of Do-It-Yourself guide that any young professional could follow.

Is it for beginners, intermediate or hardcore Personal Finance geeks?
I would say it caters both to the beginners and intermediate level Personal finance geeks. Usual features include best tips, which is basically a blog carnival presenting various tips from many different blogs covering personal finance.

It’s also a great place to check out other personal finance blog, since they are tracking hundreds of PF blogs: they even provide additional information including the number of Facebook Likes, MozScore, the number of Linking domains, Alexa rank, and Twitter followers. So if you want to check out other blogs, this is definitely the place to start!

How to maximize it for indian yuppies
For a indian young professional, the number of articles may seem staggering! They publish around 3-5 articles per day. So if you don’t keep up with your reading, you can easily get lost! Here’s my suggestion, then, browse through the content and read (in depth!) only those topics that interest you.

Of course, there’s no substitute for taking action. Even if you read it daily, without taking action, you’ll not improve your financial situation!

i remember one saying "You are what you eat" as the variety, quality and quantity of food that you eat has a direct and greater impact up on the your physical appearance. similar to that eating books/reading blogs; the only way to build mental capacity

I prefer to read blogs, although I know the best is a mixture of both, because the combination of both will offers us diversity of opinions and this does not will help make better decisions.

Hi friend, I think both ways bring benefits, particularly I like to read the old way, buying books is very satisfying. Nothing like preserving certain customs. Greetings.

Hello dear friend, this community of bloggers that you suggest is very interesting, I think that many of the topics you mention catch my attention, maybe this is what I need for a long time, I am going to enter that community and thanks for the recommendation I hope to learn a lot from those people.

As regards the question asked in the topic, I am glad that we can find a lot of healthy information through blogs but I also do not joke with the concept of acquiring books, it gives me more sense of dedication.
