Hello Steemians in the Hot News community, I am happy to join in the contest for this week in this community, the topic is an interesting one as everyone should have a job and how there are challenges are associated to each job.

I am Diala Gideon, I studied computer science in college, upon graduating from college I now work as a teacher. I do computing skill acquisition for kids ages 6-19years. I love teaching because I feel very happy when I am imparting people and it also helps me to master the concepts as I teach repeatedly.

Aside teaching I am also a programmer and I do remote jobs. I also do networking.

What are your daily tasks at your place of work or your daily activities?

My daily tasks at work are sometimes tedious. I arrive work at most 9:00am, stay in the laboratory and put up the servers and make sure the systems in the ICT laboratories are functioning well.

Shortly after this I invite the pupils/students to come for their computing skill classes. The classes are continuous till 2:00pm.

After my teaching job in school, I get home, do a few things and then I am ready to start working on projects. I write codes and do web designs with my free time every evening and night as well as prepare projects for the classes with the student the next day.

What is the biggest obstacle you have ever experienced while doing this activity?

Every job has its challenges and as individuals who want to succeed, we have to do our best to eliminate as much as we can and those, we cannot eliminate we have to adapt just to keep going.

Firstly, the major challenge I have teaching is the fact that, teaching kids is very difficult, I love handling teens or matured people. Kids tend to get distracted so soon, they are also good at noise making and noise pollution is one that I so detest. They can barely keep to instructions and also teaching kids has to do with a lot of demonstration and repetition before concepts are properly understood. I just have passion for teaching, I am not yet a trained teacher so I really had to struggle with this at the beginning but I am much better now.

Secondly, for my remote jobs, its always a good time taking new projects and learning on the job daily, but the major challenge I have with this is power outage, we have a lot of issues associated with power in the metropolis I reside. So having power issues and having deadlines to meetup with puts me under some sort of pressure.

What is your greatest hope in the future related to your activities?

My hope for the future is great. I want to own a great IT firm that offers numerous technology solutions. I also want to own a hub where kids are trained in STEM, programming and robotics especially. I want to catch them young!

Nice post. You really have a very busy day and an interesting one too. I too do web designs and I enjoy it but I don't teach, maybe I engaged with other things and that's why.
