According to wikipeda In Thailand, black ivory coffee beans are fed to elephants whose digestive enzymes reduce the bitter taste of beans collected from dung.[89] These beans sell for up to $1,100 a kilogram ($500 per lb), achieving the world's most expensive coffee,[89] three times costlier than palm civet coffee beans.[88]

Widely known as coffeehouses or cafés, establishments serving prepared coffee or other hot beverages have existed for over five hundred years.[citation needed] Coffeehouses in Mecca became a concern as places for political gatherings to the imams who banned them, and the drink, for Muslims between 1512 and 1524. In 1530 the first coffeehouse was opened in Damascus.[187] The first coffeehouse in Constantinople was opened in 1475[188] by traders arriving from Damascus and Aleppo. Soon after, coffeehouses became part of the Ottoman culture, spreading rapidly to all regions of the Ottoman Empire.
In the 17th century, coffee appeared for the first time in Europe outside the Ottoman Empire, and coffeehouses were established and quickly became popular. The first coffeehouses in Western Europe appeared in Venice, as a result of the traffic between La Serenissima and the Ottomans; the very first one is recorded in 1645. The first coffeehouse in England was set up in Oxford in 1650 by a Jewish man named Jacob in the building now known as "The Grand Cafe". A plaque on the wall still commemorates this and the cafe is now a cocktail bar.[190] By 1675, there were more than 3,000 coffeehouses in England.[191]

After 500 years of a coffee house, cafes are still around people like to socialize while sitting down with a great cup of coffee or tea although there may be more varieties of choices to choose from when it comes to coffee.

At the moment, haven't come across any research stating Hemp coffee may have been a variety of coffee through the ages who knows, in the 21st century it sure is, it may not be all that popular at this time, it has different varieties like:

Hemp seed coffee:
Hemp seed coffee is a blend of roasted hemp seeds, roasted coffee beans

Hemp infused coffee
Hemp is the oil from the hemp seed oil which is the extract taken from the seeds.

CBD infused coffee
CBD is the extract oil from the hemp flowers and leaves, which has low THC properties.
Hemp or CBD infused coffee may be roasted coffee beans infused in the oil or it may
Coffeehouses, cafes adding drops of CBD oil into coffee offering CBD coffee.

You may want to check with companies if its either hemp-infused or CBD infused, how is it infused, as there may be a mix up between the two with the thinking that they are the same, one holds more of a low THC than the other, which they both are oils from different parts of the plant.
You may want to ask is the seed either wild, hybrid, clone, or GMO, all hemp should be organic as there is no need to use chemicals at all when growing hemp or due the process.

Have you tried a cup of hemp coffee?
