This chestnut tree is the oldest and largest tree in the world is located on Mount Etna, Sicily, Italy, and is estimated to be 2,000 to 4,000 years old. The uniqueness of this tree is this tree grows on Mount Etna which is famous as an active volcano world. Not only that, if interpreted, this tree is to have the name "Chestnut 100 Horse". The name is derived from local legend which tells us that one day there were 100 knights trapped in a storm and in that legend they took shelter under this chestnut tree.
