National Geographic should hire me! Check out this bird!
I went on a hike near my house. Sat down at the peek and while having a popcorn snack the family realized we were a few feet from this bird. It basically sat there unmoving while we had a popcorn break. It gave us the stink eye the whole time. I went to get the uber closeup. Here is the result.

Side note all hell is breaking loose on the blockchain today. Some notable flags I'll be mentioning soon. Also a ton of technology failures that I can see the Devs working on and the witnesses talking about. For some of the bot services they aren't going to be available because they rely on a a steem node that's down. @minnowsupport is one example. I'm assuming mercury is in retrograde.

Hi @aggroed. Just read your interesting post "minnow 101"... (is that a good start?)
First, please allow me to "respond" to it here. All the replies by the post are last month or older, so I don't know, if you'd even see my comment there. Although its all writen in a very understandable language, and I like the way you sort of set it up like a classroom, there are still a few things I find, lets say... mysterious. Like this whole discord stuff. Or the thing with witnesses? I can't find that I have any witness votes anywhere. But I'm sure I'll find out eventually.
Question that gives me a real headache is this: a friend told me, that posting links or pictures of ones owns contributions is considered spam and one will get flagged and downvoted. In your post you actually suggest to add a link (satire) and I would really appreciate your advice on this issue.
Only thing I think I won't be able to resolve: sure, steempower and all that is important I guess. What I desperately need, is more time!!! So many interesting things around here.

About your bird: as a painter, I love the "story" the photo tells... a bird which sees an "enemy" coming to close to its "home". Its not just a picture of some bird sitting in a nest, no, its all carefully camouflaged, which is "supported" in the picture by the out of focus parts of the tree (please excuse my poor language, I'm German). One can even see in a "still picture" how this bird is not making a move, as movement is easier detected. And of course it keeps a close eye on the threat ;-) Perfect composition with the dark branch on the bottom and more light towards the top.
Some of my work was featured in a special edition of National Geographic Germany last year... unfortunately I'm not in a position, to get you in though ;-)

I link posts all the time. What you really shouldn't do is shitpost or upvote shit comments. If you're just putting one image in a post with no words which you stole from FB and upvoting that it's a shitpost. People want to support auhtors here or people working on community or creative projects. No one wants to see the reward pool going to trash, but linking something you did in the past which is relevant is aok.
Witnesses are elected officials on the block who run servers that litterally create the blockchain all the data is stored on. You can vote for them at steemit.com/~witnesses. I'm 40 on the list ;)
Of course I understand the National Geographic thingy, nevertheless I meant what I said about your photo. Sometimes, also in painting, a perfect shoot happens, when one doesn't think about it much. Our subconscious gets it right anyways :-)

Before I go to check out the witness link, please allow me to show a painting I did many years ago, more or less "walking by". I did it in a day (on glass) and it was to become one of my most successful pieces ever ;-)
