Dragonflies belong to a group of insects or insects that have characteristics consisting of three parts: head (caput), chest (thorax), and abdomen (abdomen). The head of a dragonfly is relatively large compared to its body, its shape is rounded and extended to the side with the back of the grooved inward. The most striking part of the head is a pair of large compound eyes consisting of many small eyes called ommatidium.
The mouth of the dragonfly develops in accordance with its function as a predator, the front there is a labrum, behind the labrum there is a pair of mandibles (jaw) are strong to tear the body of its prey. Behind the mandible there is a pair of maxillas that are useful for helping the work of the mandible, and the very back of the mouth is the labium that becomes the lips.
