Are you guys use Tea Whiteners in your tea or coffee?
Are you know the difference between milk and Tea Whiteners?
Are the uses of Dairy Whiteners being bad for your health?
Let’s start with the introduction of Tea Whiteners. So, tea whitener is a liquid or powdered product mainly used to gives a special colour and flavour to your tea or coffees. While, on the other hand, the milk is a white opaque liquid obtained from the mammary gland of Halal animals.
Key Ingredients of Tea Whiteners
The major difference between milk and tea whitener is the use of non-dairy ingredients in tea whitener. Here are some major ingredients used in these whiteners;
1. Plant-based fat (Usually Palm Oil).
2. Milk proteins.
3. Sugar.
4. Water.
5. Emulsifiers
6. Stabilizers
7. Artificial Flavours
The nutritional value of these products is totally different from each other. As milk is a natural product with a lot of nourishing ingredients. The fat present in milk is present naturally while the fat present in tea whiteners is vegetable oils from different sources. The one more important thing is that the tea whiteners have a higher amount of sugar as compared to milk. Milk has natural proteins that are easy to digest, but tea whiteners have different proteins that can't be easily digested.
Why Milk is Replaced with Tea Whiteners?
As you guys know very well that the population of the world is increasing continuously. And the demand for milk is also increasing with the population. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough resources to fulfil the requirement of milk. That’s why industries and food scientists decide to formulate an alternate product as a substitute for milk. So, the formulate tea whiteners to decrease the shortfall of milk. The 2nd reason behind the manufacturing of this product is that people can't afford natural products because they are more expensive. So, nowadays people prefer cheap alternates. That makes the tea whitener a good choice for them.
