Conical heads or prominent upwards we usually see in fiction films. Usually this prominent head we can see in the film themed aliens. In one of the films titled Alien VS Predator, we will see an alien head protruding upwards.

Apparently this prominent head shape is true in real life. This head shape is not a genetic disorder, but the result of the traditions and culture of society that deliberately change the shape of a normal head becomes prominent.

Changing the shape of the head is one of the cultural traditions that existed since time immemorial. This is evidenced by some human skull findings that have elongated shape. Anthropologists believe that the elongated head is not happening from birth but rather the traditions and cultures that alter the shape of the skull. They call it skull modification.

It is not known exactly which tribe started this practice. The practice of cranial skulls has been found in some cultures. Among them are Chinookan (North America), Hun (Asia), Mangbetu (African) tribes, and even some of the tombs are found in Mexico and Australia.

Of the various cultures, the way they modify the skulls looks the same. They do it since a child is born. The newly born baby's head is tied directly to two wooden planks until the skull of his head grows prominently.

The head clamping process lasts a minimum of moon eman. It can even be done for years to stand out perfectly. This practice has in fact caused many deaths to children. This is evident from the many prominent children's skulls.
