Kuah Beulangong, Taste of Goat Curry in Aceh style

Aceh, at the very tip of Sumatra province is always known for its special food. One of the specialties of Aceh is "Kuah Beulangong".

"Kuah Beulangong" is a typical Acehnese food whose main ingredients can be from beef, buffalo meat and mutton.

Goat meat is one of the most commonly used meats as the main ingredient in "Kuah Beulangong".

"Kuah Beulangong" is a very special food in Aceh because it is often served at celebrations, local cultural events and others.

"Kuah Beulangong" has high taste. Called Kuah Beulangong because the cooking process takes place in a large pot or pan.

The seasoning for cooking beulangong broth is quite a lot, including gongseng coconut, ground coconut, red chili, dried chili, cayenne pepper, garlic, ginger, turmeric, gongseng coriander, hazelnut, galangal, and cash. Everything is ground up.

At first the meat that has been washed clean is put in a skillet, then stirred with seasonings and salt until evenly distributed. Add enough water and cook until half cooked, until the marinade perfectly absorbs.

Next enter the pieces of jackfruit or banana kapok along with chopped onion plus acidic water from menteu fruit, a type of large orange. Add water and let it cook. Delicious Beulangong gravy is tasted hot. But it is more perfect if eaten with rice with family or relatives.
