Perfect Two - Quarantine Giving Me All The Patience I Need! (Watercolor Painting)
Nearly done with these portraits! I am liking them so far, the only thing to be looked into is the background color. I'd really like to paint it with a bloodish red color, a little darker than the red flower on the coat. This portrait kept reminding me of 50 shades of grey lol but I absolutely love the color palette going on here. The dark red is a "make it or break it" step so let's see :P
The reason for the title is that normally while painting skin tones I start losing patience after a few hours and use BS excuses to justify it sometimes like oh, I gotta go out, oops got to rest a bit and what not. But with quarantine there is PLENTY of time and ofc enough to sit my butt down and focus on layering the colors one by one. One of the best traits of cold pressed paper with less surface texture is that it dried up pretty quickly and you don’t need to wait 10-20 minutes for each layer to dry up!
Anyway, I would love to hear your feedback or how your quarantine days are going!
