Portrait Love (Watercolor, Gouache, Graphite!) ✏️ 🎨 🌸🧡

I wasn’t surprised when I found endless number of portraits when I was going through some of my old paintings, sketchbooks etc. And I placed some of them side by side, chronologically, to also measure if there has been a progress in this part of the journey. I love painting portraits and that is something very obvious from what I share here. It is something that I see myself expressing the most freely in. Yes, it takes a lot of time to develop skills and understand the technicalities to even be able to make one in the first place. Then comes the self-expression.

Doing so many portraits has also really influenced and motivated me to see within my mind, to understand myself and see how I can use it to express my own thoughts and ideas. It has also pushed me to try other things like self-portrait photography :D And I am really liking it! It also helps me connect my artistic side to it :) I really plan on leaning towards my creative side now that I finally have better confidence and understanding to paint portraits.
