Today I would like to write about Japanese tea I saw in a magazine.

My mother's sister (is my aunt) is a person who has learned a lot about Japanese tea and flower arrangement.

My aunt had a time when I was a kid, trying to teach me about tea etiquette and how to decorate flowers.
But I hated all the tradition-bound ways, and didn't pay much attention.

According to the magazine I read today, how to enjoy Japanese tea these days seems to have changed considerably.

There seems to be Japanese tea to enjoy by blending freeze-dried cherry petals and wormwood leaves.
I was quite surprised.

I didn't like how to enjoy Japanese tea because I was too obsessed with manners.
I felt that the person who brought such a breakthrough to the world of Japanese tea was amazing.

私の母の妹（つまり叔母）はお茶や生花をよくやった人です。

叔母は、私が子どもの頃に、お茶のマナーや生花の作法について教えてくれようとした時期がありました。
しかし、私は伝統に縛られたやり方がことごとく嫌いで、ほとんど見向きもしませんでした。

今日、私が読んだ雑誌によると、最近の日本茶の楽しみ方は随分と変化しているようです。

フリーズドライにした桜の花弁やよもぎの葉などをブレンドして楽しむ日本茶もあるようです。
私はかなり驚きました。

あまり作法に囚われすぎた日本茶の楽しみ方が好きではなかった私。
このようなブレイクスルーを日本茶の世界に持ち込んだ人はすごいな、と感じました。

今日は用事があって帰宅後に再度出かけたりしたので歩数が伸びました。
actifitの数値は9,000歩台に達して、我ながら拍手！
