GET STARTED, THEN YOU'LL FLY

The first few minutes of a workout or a run are when we feel stiffest, when so many parts of the body threaten to ache. Fifteen minutes in, it's smooth sailing.

The first few words of a book or a script or a presentation are what drive us mad, make us feel creatively blocked. Once we get past that the words come faster than we can type.

Yes, the start of anything is hard, be it a new enterprise, a relationship, something new we're learning. But all we have to do is hang in there, resist the temptation to give up. Pretty soon we'll be flying. Try it. It only works

GREATNESS MUST BE EARNED

It's nice to see a beautiful looping kick that goes right into the corner of a football net and say what talent! But think about the rigour, discipline that went into perfecting that kick.

Whether it's a rivetting book, or a scintillating piano recital, it comes only from years and years of hard work. Greatness has to be earned.

So we can't give into laziness today. Or any day. Nor feel demotivated that we're not that good. Every day is about doing, growing, achieving greatness. It's a lifetime journey where we can never stop. So let's keep at it and enjoy every step.

ENJOY THE PLACE WE'RE AT

While running a marathon, if we start looking at everyone who's running faster than us and try and match them or feel inadequate cause of that, then we're never going to run well. Not enjoy the run.

So it is with life. We are who we are. We are where. Materially, emotionally, spiritually, there will be people ahead and behind of us. The dumbest thing we can do is to look at those ahead and start feeling bad or unworthy.

Our journey is unique. We are one of a kind. Let's value that, acknowledge and accept that. And let's focus on living our life, revel in our experiences, make the most of what we are meant to learn. No journey is better or worse. No one is higher or lower. We are all just different.

Love and accept ourselves and our lives. We are special. Let's never forget or undervalue that.
