Environment degradation and pollution – big talks, but no solution.
Greetings friends!

OECD data shows that there was per capita 7.9 tons of CO2 emission during 2021. The World Bank data says global forest cover is decreasing drastically every year. Global Forest cover was 32.5% in the year 1992 and it has shrunken to 31.2% in 2020. All of us are witnessing erratic weather conditions every year. No place is left where extreme weather condition is not present. In some places, heavy rainfall and cloudburst are destroying the landscape, and causing deaths and destruction of property, while in some places people are reeling under the scorching heat. Winters are becoming harsh and so is the summer. In this year, northern parts of India received too much rainfall while European countries had to face extreme heat during the summer. So, everyone is suffering from the impact of environment degradation and pollution. But, do we have a solution and commitment for saving our environment or are we just pretending? This question should be asked from the experts, environmentalists and politicians.
Our environmentalists and experts visit all around the globe to deliver lectures and arranging seminars on climate change. Their lectures depict a picture of some great people who are becoming pale from worrying about the future. But, many of them come in their private jets. They are using everything under the Sun which is destroying our ecology. So, where is the real concern? Whom are we deceiving? Is this not hypocrisy when a so called expert, celebrity or politician lives a lavish and luxurious life, having caviar and tuna in his dinner with a costly drink. This seems very dramatic, but this is just an act of hypocrisy. We need to do something concrete to save our environment. We can do it. In fact, doing nothing can also help. I’ll explain it in my next post.
Thank you all!
