Psycho-Sick

I woke up a little bit confused this morning. Not the usual mental confusion humans have from time to time. It is more emotional than mental. I feel as if something is wrong while I am still yet to figure out what is truly went wrong in my engine. It is a very terrible state you don’t want to be in.

In moods like this, all one wants is to just lay in a place and try to figure out oneself, that is if you ever figure things out.

I have some work to do, so either I figure myself out or not, I need to work and that is what I am doing right now. Work, for me, relies heavily on input, you just need to put in the work, no matter the excuse you have for not doing that.

Also, distractions should be kept at bay. Distractions could be anything that makes the human mind stray away or unwilling to work.

As I look forward to the rest of the day, I am still feeling the confusion which tends to get a little worse with time. It doesn’t scare me. Humans are psychological beings, so many a times it is expected for us to get psychologically sick which I think I am right now. By the way, shrinks are almost inexistent here, in this part of the world, so I have got to diagnose myself. If they are present, I have never met one, although, there seems to be a lot of clinical psychologists.

Taking counseling as a full time professional endeavor could be very risky in Nigeria as Nigerians are not particularly educated along the line of psychology. It is particularly inexistent as a field to a normal African man.
I believe a lot of psychological health conditions has been wrongly assumed because of this ignorance of lack of education as regards psychology.

I’ll stop typing here and find something else to do.

I am just going to lay down for a minute , draw a plan for the day and follow through.

I hope you feel better soon. You could try and check for a psychiatrist, they are sometimes easier to find then therapist/psychologist in certain countries, (a psychiatrist is a psychologist with a medical doctors degree, they sometimes do some therapy but mainly try to analyse your problem from a medical point of view, and if needed they prescribe you some medication, it's more "hands on").
