Why did I ask?
It's all about Lagos rush in Nigeria. Earlier today, I board a danfo bus which was going to Ojota. It was a lovely bright morning as usual with a lot of morning rush in order to beat time to various working place.
As a Lagosian, I decided to make a scene of Q and A on the danfo bus. I just have to ask a series of questions which has not been ever clear to me since the days of my childhood.
I turned left to ask the man sitting close to me the questions but the statement written all over his looks was like the ones written on the judgement book where Jesus Christ judgement was stated. I was scared, so I turned right to the lady sitting close to me. Her face was welcoming and accommodating like olosho house that is located at Obalende. With confidence, I begin to ask her my questions.
Our conversation
Me: Good morning anty
Lady: Good morning
Me: How was your night?
Lady: My night was hectic
Me: Hectic? Shey you dey work for dream ni?
Lady: Brother, you won't understand. Not that I didn't sleep o but my sleep get as e be.
Me: What may be the cause?
Lady: Nothing much, just stress from daily work and I hope I won't be exhausted like that of yesterday.
Me: Okay. But good rest is good for the body and it will be good if your rest yourself well.
Lady: Thanks dear.
I was about to ask the lady about the nature of her job when she opened a nylon bag containing some little plastic bottle which I believed no one saw her with that nylon bag when she was boarding the bus and the next thing I started hearing is...
Lady: Ekaro gbo gbo eyin ti e wa ni inu danfo yi ni wakati yi, e ti se ori ire bi mo se ba yin so oro yi. Shey e ri ike kekere yi to wa ni owo mi yi ni wan pe ni "kafaya ketan".
Bi e 'nse wo ogun yi, o 'nse ise ti catapilar o le se, ko da, ti Buhari gan ba lo, o ma sha iyawo re ni isha'kusha. Awon omo re o wa ma pe ni baba for the girls. Ogun "kafaya ketan" yi ni awon bill gate, dangote, gadafi ati awon gomina wa bi fayose ati amusan ma 'nlo ti won ba fe kan iyawo wan pa. Ogun yi le kere sugbon ise re ju ise lasma lo.
All of a sudden, the journey from Ketu to Ojota became a journey from Abeokuta to Zaria. I don tire for this agumu people. Me sha collect one bottle
