Nature Photography: 'The Death Swamp'

These photos were taken by me while on the way to my hometown.

Passing a rather low plain, my eyes were fixed on a swamp to the right of the road.

Asian palm trees are tall like solid pillars stuck in the middle of a swamp, also dead trees with dried twigs.

It was as if they had died from excess water. In fact, they died from the prolonged drought, before heavy rains flushed and returned to inundate the swamps that had already dried up.

Even though it looked like a death swamp, it was still beautiful to the eyes.
