Trip to Straw Field #2 - S.Justa Valongo | Portugal
I´m here jumping from place to place, all places relatively close to each other, if you follow the geographical points that i share through the Pinmapple site, you can see that all places are concentrated in a very small and approximate area, and when it comes to macro photography,it would be easily possible to present 10 articles with completely different environments, photographed in an area of 10 m2.
It is absolutely incredible what we can find in such reduced scales.
Today we are going again to the straw field, where i photographed several plants, some of them with a very interesting structure and shade, which led me to conclude that in fact bees have an absolutely indispensable role in the sustainability and proliferation of various species of plants on our planet, thereby allowing our survival.
The wild spot where it was possible to find these flowers proves this importance.
But in addition to the plants, this article could almost have been dedicated to the model with greater prominence, which somehow arose by mere chance, when trying to focus on another subject and in one of the attempts at manual focusing when traversing the depth of field i came across this tiny grasshopper resting peacefully on the almost nonexistent surface of that little herb, which in a way will serve as a comparative scale for you to have an idea of the animal's real size, an absolutely minimal thing.
With a closer approach and almost losing breath, it was possible to capture with some clarity this specie and its details, worthy of a true architect who is nature, with all the splendor of his work absolutely incomparable.
It is not by chance that the whole great work is based on and inspired by the natural details of everything that surrounds us.
My introductory thoughts about macro photography:
It's amazing how macros with their blurred background can result in such different images full of contrasts and textures especially with this kind of subjects.
In the world of photography, especially macro photography, there is a universe of things available to everyone, enabling totally different and original approaches.
Feel free to check some of the previous macro photography sessions with a technique short description:

Here i present the technique used through a short visual tutorial:
Among the various possible techniques to shoot macros, this is perhaps the most affordable and effective technique for those who have a camera with removable lens.
We can simply remove the lens and reverse the direction, and by using an inverter ring it ends up being more comfortable and facilitates the process.
That´s all for today :)
See you soon
Thank you for watching :)
