Digital PORTRAIT #7. By Alejandra Her. (Comic hair-realistic girl)
For me, there is something special about creating portraits that combine two styles or textures.
Digital painting has allowed me to try this more frequently than I could try through traditional art.
I present this portrait, in which I kept an entirely comic style hair, but I painted the skin with softened realistic tones.
Here I share my process.
Sketching is the part when everything has to be well proportioned. Some times it takes a lot of time to catch the idea we want.
I knew I wanted to have a girl with comic hair. So I finish this part first. I painted with the base colors in the skin.
I painted with the mixing brush. I still looks too flat.

YAY! I love the way the eyes look alive, and the nose and lips have volume.
