I really like plants, flowers, green. Green is my favorite color. I grew up in a town, far from the city, surrounded by tropical fruit trees. That is why now, in my city life and passing through lock down, I miss every moment that I spent among trees, plants, flowers, far from any city.

Me gustan mucho las plantas, las flores, lo verde. Verde es mi color favorito. Crecí en un pueblo, lejos de la ciudad, rodeada de arboles frutales, tropicales. Es por eso que ahora, en mi vida citadina y de paso en cuarentena, extraño de más cada momento que pasé entre arboles, plantas, flores, lejos de cualquier ciudad.

This feeling is what has led me to make a series of illustrations about nature and how we interact with it.
In my little apartment I have plants, not many. Mostly cacti and succulents. Because although I come from a place with trees, it is also a very hot place, where the plants that survive a intense summer are the most resistant.

Esta sensación es la que me ha llevado a hacer una serie de ilustraciones acerca de la naturaleza y como interactuamos con ella.
En mi pequeño apartamento tengo plantas, no muchas. En su mayoría cactus y suculentas. Porque aunque yo vengo de un lugar con árboles, también es un lugar muy caliente, donde las plantas que sobreviven a un verano intenso son las más resistentes.

My cacti are not blooming yet, as this city is not so hot, but they live and reproduce, and they give me their beauty.

Mis cactus aún no florecen, pues esta cuidad no es tan caliente, pero viven y se reproducen, y me dan su hermosura.

This time I wanted to reflect the color palettes that I like to use. There are four, and I only chose one. As you can see, they are very limited palettes, in this way I feel that I can express myself better because I know very well what I want to transmit through the colors.

Here I simply set a base color for the skin: my skin color.

Aquí simplemente establecí un color base para la piel: mi color de piel.

Using the third color palette, I took the shade for the shadow and applied it, just like lightening the layer containing the line.

Utilizando la tercera paleta de colores, tomé el tono para la sombra y lo apliqué, al igual que aclaré la capa que contiene la línea.

Detalles de color, ojos y una nueva linea, con otra textura.

Now the cacti. Not only cacti but also some xerophytic plants. I love these types of plants, and among them I feel as comfortable as in my old home.

Ahora los cactus. No solo cactus sino también algunas plantas xerófitas. Me encantan este tipo de plantas, y entre ellas me siento tan a gusto como en mi antiguo hogar.
