Woman portrait and a tip about light. DIGITAL PAINTING. Illustration by Alejandra Her
Sometimes, to relax, I like to draw in different styles from what I do at the moment.
For example, now I've been concentrating on making comics, but in my eagerness to do it I can get saturated, and things don't end up going the way I want.
So I decided to do this portrait.
In this case I decided to study the reflected light a bit. This is something I don't use often, but I'm decided to do it.
Hope you like.
The illustration:
Step one: digital sketck.
Step two: rough colors. I don't need much details here, in fact I used a reduced color palette: yellow, brown and violet.

Step three: Sone details. In this case, blush and eyes.

Step four: shapes. If I paint with light and shadows, I start giving my woman the 3d shape I want to.

Step five: More details and reflected light. Because the light is violet, there is a reflected light in the left of her face, I love this effect and I want to used it more often.
