A fire disaster occurred in Gampong Baro Village, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. One permanent construction Goods Storage Warehouse unit burned down on Sunday, 12/15/2024.
The Goods Storage Warehouse next to the Youth Office in the meunasah complex behind the Meunasah Gampong Baro, caught fire at around 00.35 WIB in the morning.
The flames that appeared suddenly surprised residents, but did not spread because of the residents' quick movements and were extinguished by firefighters from the Bireuen City Main Post about 600 meters from the scene. Then also followed by firefighters from the Juli Assistant Post from the location reporting the incident.
Data obtained at the scene of the incident, it is not yet known for sure the source of the fire and how the warehouse started burning. Suddenly there were residents who heard a loud noise and three explosions on the second floor of the building.
Then residents saw flames appearing on the roof of the warehouse, residents immediately went to the Bireuen City Fire Department Post 600 meters from the location.
Officers on duty immediately deployed three fire engines and were followed by 1 fire engine from the Juli District Assistant Post.
The flames were extinguished about 15 minutes later, officers then carried out the process of cooling the location until 01.30 WIB.
After ensuring that the condition of the burning warehouse was safe, firefighters immediately returned to the post.
The Village Head (Keuchik) of Gampong Baro, Zulfaisal Saleh at the scene said that the room used to be a religious study hall. However, it is currently used as a warehouse for storing used goods. This is because the religious study has been moved to the meunasah.
The room on the second floor is now being used as a warehouse for storing used goods, the cause of the fire is not yet known for sure where the fire came from," he said.
The Keuchik expressed his gratitude to the firefighters who moved quickly to handle the fire.
