Happy Centenary, Romania!

100 years ago my country was born, or at least to say, the country my ancestors envisioned. It went well for 20 years till Russia and Germany decided to destroy Europe as it was, putting borders where they wanted to have influence. One of the biggest disaster was the stealing of Moldova, which is still today under occupation and can't reunite with Romania.
Don't want to go into that, I'm just happy that I've seen a lot of my friends from Moldova posting today about Romania and the unification.
What can I tell, the history has been hard, so hard that the Romanian Crown Jewels are made out of steel of captured cannons. History cursed Romania to be neighboring communism and getting infected with it without a choice. As in Romania communism was hated before it was installed. After the infection we needed 50 years to get rid of it, and we still have a lot of trauma as the country was not fully cleaned of the former rulers.
One of the consequences is that Romania has the most people emigrating after Syria, which tells a lot. Well even I write this in another country.
Nevertheless, I love my country, even if I don't plan in the near future to move back, I try to be the best for it and hope that times will change and maybe, after this generation it goes back where it was for that short span of 20 years.

Acum 100 de ani, țara mea sa născut, sau măcar să spun, țara pe care și-au imaginat-o strămoșii mei. A mers bine de 20 de ani până când Rusia și Germania au decis să distrugă Europa așa cum era la acle moment, punând granițele acolo unde voiau să aibă influență. Una dintre cele mai mari dezastre a fost furarea Moldovei, care este încă ocupată și nu se poate reunifica.
Nu vreau să intru în detalii, sunt doar fericit că am văzut mulți dintre prietenii mei din Moldova care au postat astăzi despre România și despre unificare.
Ce pot să spun, istoria a fost grea, atât de grea încât bijuteriile coroanei românești sunt făurite din oțelul tunurilor capturate. Istoria a blestemat România să fie învecinată cu comunismul și să se infecteze cu această molime fără a avea o alegere. În România, comunismul a fost urât înainte de instalare. După infecție am avut nevoie de 50 de ani pentru a scăpa și avem încă o mulțime de traume, deoarece țara nu a fost complet curățată de foștii conducători și creațile lor.
Una dintre consecințe este că România are cele mai multe persoane care emigrează după Siria, ceea ce spune foarte mult. Ei bine, și eu scriu acum într-o altă țară.
Cu toate acestea, îmi iubesc țara, chiar dacă nu intenționez să mă reîntorc în viitorul apropiat, încerc să fiu mai bun pentru ea și sper că vremurile se vor schimba și poate că după această generație se va întoarce acolo unde a fost pentru acea perioadă scurtă de 20 de ani.
