cosmic calendar

Talking about my cosmic calendar is reminded of a word of God in sura Yunus verse 45 which reads:

And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] as if they had not remained [in the world] but an hour of the day, [and] they will know each other. Those will have lost who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided

The cosmic calendar can be defined as a representation of the extent of the history of the universe in which 13.8 billion years is summarized to 1 year only. The 13.8 billion figure is a revision made by the host of Neil deGrasse Tyson using the same cosmic calendar concept in its sequel in 2014, "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" fixes the 15 billion figure proposed by Sagan in 1980 on page 9 of his writings. On this scale, every second means 438 years, every hour means 1.58 million years, and every day means 37.8 million years.

In his writings, Sagan tried to expose the concept of his cosmic calendar by converting the great moments that occurred throughout the history of the universe, ranging from the phenomenon of Big Bang to the present day into a cosmic calendar consisting of only 12 months. Sagan admits that it is impossible for him to expose every detail of the moment that occurred throughout the history of the universe. Therefore, he only highlights the events that optimally affect the civilization of mankind.

If we look at the cosmic calendar by Carl Sagan, it can be concluded that all events recorded by history through the literature record are in the last 10 seconds of the cosmic calendar. While the medieval end to date has occurred less than 1 calendar second cosmic.

Carl Sagan also makes a comparison with the surface area. He stated that if the cosmic calendar is stretched out as wide as a football field, then the history of human civilization is only the width of the palm of the hand. This is what leads to a conclusion; "This world is old, while mankind is still very young" (Sagan, 1980 p.8).

In short, the age of mankind which is only the width of the palm of the hand when compared with the wide football field has actually hinted by the Prophet in several hadith saheeh:

"The time interval between me was sent and the occurrence of this apocalypse, he was conditioned with both his fingers and stretched both." (Narrated Bukhari: 6503 and Muslim: 2950)

In another matching history:

From Anas RA, said Rasulullah SAW:

"(Distance) between I was sent with the Day of Resurrection is like this. (Anas RA says, "Rasulullah SAW combines the index finger with the middle finger." (Narrated by Al-Bukhari: Ar-Raqaq, hadith No. 6504 [Fath Al-Bari (11/355)], Muslim: Al-Fitan wa Asyrath As-Sa'ah, hadith no 2951 [Muslim bi Syarh An-Nawawi (9/279)])

The difference in the two editors is on the second position of the Prophet's finger where in the first hadith the Prophet stretched his two fingers, while in the second hadith the Prophet SAW merged it. The difference is not a matter worth arguing. Because if analogous, like a teacher who was teaching in a large class. When the teacher holds the index finger and middle finger in close proximity, the students sitting in the front row adjacent to the teacher will see clearly that the teacher's fingers are stretched. But for students who sit the most back will have a different point of view.

Furthermore, if the history of human civilization is only as wide as the palm of the hand, it is no exaggeration if the Prophet SAW describes the distance between his he sent with the Day of Resurrection are two fingers of the hands of the index finger and middle finger. This fact at once confirms that the calculation of the cosmic calendar popularized in the 20th century has been first concluded by the Prophet SAW in the 7th century. Wallahu a'lam bish shawab.

In addition, in the cosmic calendar, it is stated that the distance between the birth of Rasulullah SAW and the end of the cosmic calendar is only about 3 seconds. Rasulullah SAW has also hinted at this case in his hadith:

"(Distance) between I was sent with the Day of Judgment is like this with it, almost the doomsday preceding me" (Narrated by Ahmad: Musnad Al-Kufiyyin, hadith no 18797 [Al-Musnad (4/380)]. has a martyr (hadith that supports the truth) in a saheeh hadith)

The hadith shows how close the doomsday is from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). While Rasulullah SAW was sent 14 centuries ago and mankind today live in the last seconds of cosmic calendar.

If the 1 second cosmic calendar represents 438 years, then where is it today? In the beginning seconds? Or at the end of seconds? Here's the calculation:

Cosmic calendar compared to actual time:

1 day = 37.5 million years
1 hour = 1.56 million years
1 min = 26,050 years
1 second = 434 years

The case is in the hadith narrated by Ahmad above. That is the distance between the messenger of Rasulullah SAW with now that in the cosmic calendar is represented by the number 3 seconds. Rasulullah SAW was born in 570 AD, while he was sent when he was 40 years old. Means the Messenger of Allah was sent in 610 AD

The distance between Rasulullah SAW sent by now (in 2018) is : 2018 - 610 = 1408 years

1408 years must be converted into million years old: 1408/1000000 = 0.001408

Thereafter, the figure of 0.001408 million years is changed to day units in accordance with the above provisions (1 cosmic calendar day = 37.5 million years): 0.001408/37.5 = 3.755 x 10-5

Furthermore, the results are converted into units of minutes:

3.755 x 10-5 / 1 day = x minutes / 1440 minutes
x = 0.054 minutes ago

Then converted back into seconds:

0.054 minutes / 1 minutes = x seconds / 60 seconds

x = 3,24 seconds ago

If rounded, it will be found: 3 seconds ago. Thus, Rasulullah SAW was sent 3 seconds before the end of the cosmic calendar or precisely on December 31 at 23:59:57. Three seconds before 24:00.

If the 1 second requirement in the cosmic calendar equals 438 years, then 3 seconds on the cosmos calendar equals 1317 years (1317 is calculated from the current date of 2018). While Rasulullah SAW was sent about 1405 years ago. Then the rest of the time for the first year cosmic calendar is:

1405 - 1317 = 88 Years.

Looking at the above calculations, 88 years cannot be summarized into 1 second full calendar of the cosmos. This means that mankind today lives in the last part of the last second of the cosmic calendar or it can be said that the time left for mankind on the cosmic calendar is less than 1 second.

The question is, is the end of the cosmos calendar also the end of the world? The answer is still only Allah SWT alone who has knowledge about the Doomsday case. Even the angels and the Apostles were not given the knowledge about it by God but only a few.

But if you look back on the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW above, then the existence of this world is true will not be long anymore. Carl Sagan himself did not believe that his cosmic calendar would reach the second year. He said that the second year's cosmic calendar is highly dependent on the current condition of the human species. He describes the biological specifications in his book and concludes that the true human species has come close to extinction.

All calculations described above are not absolute. For surely Allah alone is the Knower, the Truest, the Most Thorough. However, Muslims should be sure of the truth of Allah, His verses, and Rasul. As the end-time, people of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was given a wider knowledge of the doomsday than the previous people. Ironically, the excess is widely denied and ignored even by Muslims themselves. Very few Muslims who care and pay attention to the messages conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad regarding the imminent doomsday. Is it because of the great doubts about the truth of his religion? Is it because of the limited space to access knowledge? Or even because it is too comfortable with the life of the world? Wallahu a'lam bish shawab.
