DAIRY GAME : MY FIRST DAY AT WORK AS A MEDICAL MICROBIOLOGIST - 04-10-2021

Hello steemians!

I’m humbly please to share with you my day as a new medical microbiologist, I have been in the field of studies for over three years now , in fact been in the lab to day I appreciate everything I was taught in the classroom.

Today I reported to work at 7:30 AM , I went to the human resource personnel in the hospital to I traduces myself and she took me to my new department where I will be a fellow under one Doctor of medilab, this man is very humble and ready to teach.

first of all I was introduced to some terms they use in the hospital, and the dos and don’t of the laboratory, from there I was given a laboratory coat and an office desk.

Later I was sent to the registration table to register some few tables coming from the consulting room in other to get more conversant with the terms they use over there .

The next skill I acquired was how to test for Malaria parasite , HIV AIDS , Hepatitis and other sexual transmitted diseases.

Later in the day my supervisor asked me to stay over to run some ANC with him so that we can clear all the pregnant ladies in the lab , so I joined him and I learnt a lot as well.

I took a break went for some prayers and returned back to help disinfect the lab and run some other test on samples that were brought from the female ward most of them were requesting UPT which is Urinary Pregnancy Test , finally we I was asked to close for the day and report tomorrow same time.

On my way home I had a flat tyre and I had to rush to the near by vulcanizing shop do get it dine and rush home to get my Prayers on time also to eat on time , so that I can rest and prepare for the next day

In fact my day was hectic but I learnt a lot so I appreciate all the stress I went through🙏
