In the first six months of this year (January-June), Indonesian Oil and Palm Oil exported 2 percent growth in the sector. Meanwhile, Indonesian exporters have exported palm oil in China, USA, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Middle East countries, while palm oil exports have declined from the country in the Indian and European markets.

Mukesh Saradjono, executive director of the Indonesian Palm Oil Association, said, "Palm oil exports from Indonesia are starting to decline this year in the markets of India and EU countries. Even after the first six months of the year, Indonesia's palm oil export sector has achieved 2 percent growth. Excessive exports in the Middle East and South and South-East Asian countries have played an important role in achieving this growth. This is a good news for our (Indian) Palm Oil Industry. 'Indonesia is the world's top palm oil producer and exporter. According to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), in the year 2017, the international market has exported 27 million tonnes of palm oil in total, which is 1.33 percent more than the previous year. This is the highest export of palm oil in Indonesia's history. In 2016, there was a total of 27 million tons of palm oil export from the country. As a result, the export of goods from the country to the international market has increased by 3 million 67 thousand tons. By the end of 2018, the export of palm oil from Indonesia to the international market at the end of 2018 has been projected to increase by 5.36 percent to 26 million tons.
