7th Cebu Steemit Bloggers Meetup 🤗

I joined steemit almost a month now and its my first time joining the Cebu Steemit Bloggers Meetup. Steemit community has became bigger and bigger as the steemians keep on promoting the platform. It encourages people to create a blog that has a good quality content and at the same time gains trust to other bloggers without plagiarising other blogs.

The meetup was held at Marisse Patisserie located at the 32 Sanson Road at the Rockwell. This place is very cozy and for the sweet lover there are a lot of options of pastries to choose with. The place is really built for groups of friends relaxing, chilling, studying and a lot of different things they want to do. Perfect for barkadas gathering, family gathering and also dating place for lovers.

As for me, I bought Creamy Pasta Carbonara and White Caramel Frappe. The carbonara was heavenly delicious among the carbonara that I've tasted. It has a lot of bacon and creamy sauce.

Before the discussion started, we took a group photo of everybody attending the meetup. All I can say is that, we are a huge community.. Struggling in taking pictures cause the distance between the photographer and the bloggers isn't enough to cover all of us.

As the program started, there was an introduction number. Three of the bloggers has a talent of beatboxing. We were really entertained and amazed with what we witnessed.

The discussion was divided into 4 so that the steemians would not be mislead with the topic to be discussed. Newbies was separated because they should learn first the basics about steemit before upgrading to another topics. So, I was one of the newbies. And I learned a lot about the steemit platform. Thanks for our host @ninyea and @bellatravelph for the information that we've this afternoon.

The first discussion was all about Cryptocurrency as what I've understand, it is a currency of strategies for regulating for generation of units and its also decentralized for it is not constant as it will flactuate anytime. And I also learn about the meaning of SBD which stands for Steem Blockchain Dollar. That sbd can be trade through bittrex to obtain the equivalent bitcoin in the market but if you manually convert sbd then you can possibly receive a 1usdollar conversion of sbd.

Another thing that I've learned in the discussion was about how the steem dollar be allocated after 7 days, the basics of tagging and how to use tags to be acknowledge by the curator, plagiarising blogs is subjet to warning and worst flagging down by the steemit cleaners, and lastly having a quality content is a must to earn curie and gain the trust of the curator.

It was a great sunday afternoon, learning from the existing steemians who shares their experience to us, newbie, and gives us tips on how to grow in the steemit community with the help of them. I'm thankful for their patience in sharing to us and explaining the presentation one by one so that we can comprehend it.
