Common types of allergies includes weather change or going through a dirty place or due to scent of something. Other includes, Moreover, food allergy and smell allergy. Their are specific types of foods which can causes allergies in your stomach or on your physical health. Lastly, allergies caused due to animals; most of the people are allergic to animals.

Flu: Most of the allergies causes flu, leading to coughing, running nose, sneezing mostly.
Asthma: Animal causes asthma in some people, asthma can some others reason too, like flu leads to asthma and other lungs infections too.
Itching: Itching is most problematic feeling produced with allergies. I have found many people with itching after getting seasonal allergies. These people then depend on medicines to cure it.

Staying away from allergens is how to prevent allergies. Allergens are elements which causes allergies. These allergens can be found in water, animals, scent and other things.
Keeping our surrounding neat and clean. Staying from things which causes these allergies. e.g. staying from cats which can cause asthma more certainly in young kids.
Eating beneficial and healthy food and doing exercises to built strong immunity, and staying near to things which causes allergies to adopt it and your body survive in it with getting allergic to it.
Limiting allergic food; which results in causing allergy. Some food like, ginger and garlic causes allergy to people. So, avoiding foods like these will help you to reduce allergic atmosphere.

Cold is caused due to viruses in the air or transferred from someone to you while allergy is caused from allergens when immune system reacts to it. Allergy occurs normally while cold is transfer of virus to your body. Allergic person near to allergens get symptons very quickly while cold is not caused quickly but it takes time. e.g. sneezing due to allergy and sneezing due to cold.
