Aceh is located at the tip of the island of Sumatra surrounded by a vast sea like the Indian Ocean, the strait of Malacca is only the province of Sumatra bordering on land. We can imagine when stunami occurred in the most endangered province of Sumatra, the big floating ships alone can be in the middle- the middle of a heavily populated city.

To commemorate the history of the waves of stunami waves, the floating ship that was stranded due to stunami made as a natural tourist attractions.

Exactly on December 26, 2004 as shown in the monument at 7:55 am there was a natural disaster that was not in the guessing before, thousands of people died, magnificent buildings flattened with the ground.

This is the floating vessel that is painted on the walls of this monument with a stunami wave that is terrible.

With the ferocity of the stunami waves only the remains of the mosque building surrounded by ruined building debris.

Aceh yang terletak di ujung pulau Sumatera di kelilingi laut yang luas seperti samudera Hindia,selat Malaka hanya propinsi Sumatera berbatasan dengan darat.dapat kita bayangkan ketika terjadi stunami di propinsi paling ujung Sumatera begitu dahsyat nya,kapal apung yang besar saja bisa berada di tengah-tengah kota yang padat penduduk nya.

Untuk mengenang sejarah keganasan ombak stunami maka kapal apung yang terdampar akibat stunami di jadikan sebagai tempat wisata alam.

Tepat nya tanggal 26 Desember 2004 seperti yang tertera di monumen tersebut jam 07.55 pagi terjadi musibah alam yang tidak di duga-duga sebelumnya,ribuan masyarakat meninggal dunia,bangunan yang megah rata dengan tanah.

Ini lah kapal apung yang di lukiskan di dinding monumen ini.dengan gelombang stunami yang dahsyat.

Dengan keganasan ombak stunami hanya tersisa bangunan mesjid di kelilingi puing-puing bangunan yang hancur.
