With mainstream players adopting Blockchain, its well certain that this technology is not going anywhere.
Porsche is testing blockchain application to its vehicles, in collaboration with the Berlin based company XAIN. Well, its unlikely that they will come up with a coin but the very fact that Porsche is also taking into consideration to have blockchain application to be built in itself is a huge deal.
One of the main ideas of this collaboration is ofcourse for fast and secure data storage & transfer in the blockchain and it will find its applications in autonomous driving too. This will be a definite success and we can conclude that their entire business model will be based on blockchain in the coming years.
