Hello, fellow Steemians,

I will be sharing with you my activities for the day of 17 September 2022. Today is a Saturday day, for most Ghanian, it is the first day of the weekend. It is this day that most people do their marriage ceremony and what is called a wedding.

In a typical Ghanaian community, before couples will go ahead to do a wedding, those couples would have to do traditional marriage first before carrying out the wedding. it is even allowed that after the traditional marriage the lady becomes the man's property and vice visa therefore the woman can go and stay with the woman.

Later in life if they get some resources or money and they want to go ahead and do the wedding in the Church for the blessings of the Lord, that is allowed. At my place of work, we had such an I stance in our miss. Our brother John was married to our sister Jane. We, therefore, termed it J & J.

In their marriage, they had done the traditional marriage and it was left with a wedding for them to do. The wedding is also important because it is where God blesses the marriage and the couples are been shown to the members of the Church.

J&J had already informed us about two weeks ago that and fortunately I also informed my girlfriend who is staying in J&J's house. About a week to the day preparations were made, I informed her once again. In all instances, She agrees to go with me.

Three days ago, the venue was changed from the usual Church groups to the Navrongo Senior High school auditorium. They did very well to communicate to all individuals who were supposed to be aware. I also communicated this to my girlfriend and she agreed to it as well.

A day before today which was Friday, I ask him at the workplace about the whole situation and he said everything is on point. I wanted to find out if there is any help I can help in terms of arranging chairs, food, water, and others but he said everything is under control. He confirmed the time for me that it will be 10 am and that he is going to be time conscious.

I woke up around 7 am this morning and I carried out my daily routine activities, as at 8:30 I was done with everything. I got prepared and I called my girlfriend to find out if she was done. it was left with a few minutes according to her so I went there to wait for her. Fortunately, she was done when I got there, we together went to the place.

We took a tricycle and set off and in about 10 minutes we were at the venue. We got there on time so we waited for others to come and we started on time. It took just a few minutes for the preacher man to take over.

Their preacher man talked about marriage, He went on further to give details about how African marriage is the need for the husband and wife to be one, the aftermath of marriage, the temptations after marriage, and a whole lot of others. In all, he spoke for about 45 minutes and he then handed it over to the song's leaders.

The song leaders gave us a couple of songs where we sang to Glorify God. We moved forward to dance and in about 15 minutes, the podium was given to the Preacher once again to bless the marriage.

He began by calling them onto the top stage, Talking to them and asking a few questions, he called the witness of the lady's traditional marriage and that of the man. They both confirmed that the traditional marriage has been done and has been successfully accepted. The preacher Man then continues and blesses the marriage. The rings were kept on each other.

After the joyous blessings of the marriage prayers were offered for a successful marriage. We were then given the usual snacks as a gift of appreciation and we all together went out to take pictures.

My girlfriend and I were unfortunate to have been those taking the pictures so it was unfortunate that we couldn't Join them taking pictures. I strongly believe that those using their phones might have captured us but they are nowhere to be found for us to take some of those pictures.

After all the pictures we all together took a tricycle once again and return to our various homes. I came online by voting and commenting on posts by Steemians. I check my mail and I found my keys. I lost it on my phone so I was very happy to have found it in my mail.

I quickly downloaded it and share it with myself, because I lost it on my phone for about a week when I reset my phone, I had not done any power up. I noticed I had some liquid STEEM in my wallet waiting for nothing. I quickly powered up with it.
