Salamanca is one of the most mysterious and enigmatics cities in Spain. Why couldn't we go there?
We took the most ordinary bus and drove the whole city across the bridge. One part of Salamanca was completely unremarkable - ordinary Spanish houses, construction and shops. However, its historical part leaves tourists in silence. Personally, I even forgot about the camera.

Salamanca was founded in 220 BC by Hannibal. For its nearly 800-year history, it was filled with many legends, sacraments and magnificent architecture.I'll just tell you a couple of stories, because all of them need a separate book and perhaps a historical education:)

Short Story №1 "Stop, you boob!"

Once escaped bull rushed through the streets of the city, instilling fear for all its inhabitants. Juan de Sahagun met the enraged animal face to face and told him "Tente, necio!" ("Stop, you boob!").
Literally hypnotized animal in a moment became meek, and order in the city was restored. Since then, that street has become known as the Tentenecio.

Short Story №2 "House of the Dead"

At the beginning of the XIX century in this house, located on the street Bordadores, there was a murder of all four members of the family that lived in it. After that, the building got its name from the impressionable inhabitants of the city. But the story did not end.

In May 1835, a woman who fired her servants and lived in the House of the Dead in seclusion was found dead in the well of the courtyard. Because of these two incidents, the house remained uninhabited until the end of the century, but then the story was forgotten and people re-settled in it.
