Upcoming HF20 Updates Boost Value of STEEM
Soon, the Steemit blockchain platform was ordered to introduce updates that would simplify the process of creating accounts on a decentralized media distribution network. As a result, the value of Steem (STEEM) cryptocurrency tokens has increased significantly.

Steemit is a decentralized open blogging platform, the author publishes articles without restrictions, with the help of curators who assess the nature and quality of content. Both creators and participants are valued on the Steemit platform. Content creators get rewarded with STEEM tokens while participants get Steem Power to read or provide feedback on content, or both. Although Steem Power cannot be traded on crypto exchanges, it raises interest from time to time.
Strangely, the Steem blockchain is very popular with the Chinese government, although blockchain technology is not possible to censor blogs. According to China's ministry of industry and information technology, only the Ethereum network connects Steem's performance in terms of blockchain.
As mentioned earlier, the price surge comes because the Steem blockchain is completing preparations for the Hard Fork 20 (HF20) system update launch. Like the previous announcement by the Steem development team, the main reason for this update was to facilitate the mass creation of blog accounts on Steemit.
Among the proposals included in the HF20 Update is the formation of a collection of Discount Creative Tokens. This will allow new users to create accounts at discounted prices. Until now, new users have to pay for registration with STEEM and Steem Power. However, updates require approval from the majority of Steemit delegates before they are implemented.
The concept behind the Steemit blockchain-powered blog is very impressive. After all, the popularity of sites like Media is associated with a variety of topics covered by couples with less rigorous editorial policies. Integration of blockchain technology makes blog sites immune to censorship by oppressive bureaucratic regimes. Discounted prices will encourage more users, raise prices for STEEM.
