Entry for Artstorm contest week #4— Violet

This is an African violet well that is what I learned from my grandma. She used to have a lot of these flowers in her garden. Very delicate little flowers because they could die easily when overwatered or left out in the rain. My grandma has pale lilac and this deep violet and her favourite is the violet. When I was thinking about ideas to draw for this artstorm prompt, the African violet plant is my first choice. I tried to stay true to the colors and look of the plant and I think I did well knowing that I didn't use a reference except for my memory.
