One category of post that no member in this awesome platform to be missed, But I did. Even though missed, I believe BETTER LATE THAN NEVER so Its time for me to introduce myself to all my lovely friends in this great platform.

ABOUT ME

Born in a big family in southern part of India, spend lovely days of school, college etc in a joint family atmosphere. Became an Engineer by profession in Civil Industry and fortunate to work with some of the well known projects in Middle East and India. Always frustrated with the politics inside the offices between subordinates and bosses thereby creating opportunism and unwanted enmity between all. Honesty created another hurdle in the path of professional growth where straight forward approach were never supported by many bosses. Never interested in undue favors from anyone to utilize for appraisal etc. Tried my best to perform my responsibilities with utmost dedication thereby self satisfied at the end of the day.

HOW STEEMIT CAME ON MY WAY - PART 1

Sometimes swimming against flow becomes necessary and fun. And like that, contrary to the normal custom among others I started hating Facebook. For me it was (and is) a means to waste one's precious time and showing off without any substance. It was hard to digest what benefit is there from seeing many friends and relatives boasting on the number of virtual FB friends and fighting about the number of likes and comments on their photos and other posts.

Along with that I also used to think in such a way that visiting an unknown profile to know about the life and other details of them like where they had gone last evening etc is an intrusion into their private life without their consent. So FB was never my cup of tea. Later while settled in India's capital city as part of my profession I used to be in twitter for a while mainly during some political changes and development through which I was able to get few friends.

HOW STEEMIT CAME ON MY WAY - PART 2

In childhood, to read something was a must which naturally grown to become a good reader, but not an avid one. So there was few attempts to write something in school and college competitions and as expected never succeeded. Later the priorities were over taken over writing and reading too limited during long distance traveling only as traveling to unknown places were a craze then and is now too. Extensive trips to few wonderful destination made me to ponder about Why I cant't write something about each location for a reference to myself.

Then these seed grown up and with some guidance and research on how to write properly, I started to prepare a blog for my travel and as luck was on my side when I completed 6-7 blogs I came across a site through which we can publish individual blog in the web free of cost. I will provide the link at the end.

HOW STEEMIT CAME ON MY WAY - PART 3

And next I was eager to get some opinion on my write ups for which I requested one of my twitter friend to go through it and review and comment. And the first response from the friend was to publish it in Steemit that will also able to have some money. And that is how I joined steemit. I didnt even tried to do a research to know what is Steemit or how it works, how it get to to pay us etc. I posted 2 write ups first and to my surprise someone upvoted it and there was a display that I earned .01 dollars. And then I stated keep on posting photos for color challenge and daily photography contest.

And if my memory is correct I first saw Introduce myself post only after many weeks and after many followers. Then human laziness kept me postponing it and finally I decided to make an Introduce myself post and here it is.

ONE THING THAT LIFE TAUGHT ME

After all these years of ups and downs what I learned one proactive approach from life is that the more one reduces the importance of I, my, me, myself from life it would make life more colorful. I am not sure whether I could convey the real feeling with this sentence. And in other words get rid of selfishness, be available for others always whether it is time money etc then the purpose of life will become more colorful.
