Amazing creatures these ducks ...
Four wild ducks live in our yard: two females and two males. Two of them cannot fly because of a wing injury, and two more because they are simply too fat. Every year I see the same story ...

For some reason, both males always choose the same female, although both females are young and pretty. And the chase begins ... But what is most interesting. As soon as one of the males to catch up with the female and start a courtship, as the second immediately begins to chase him away from the female ...

At this time, the second female, equally young and beautiful, stands apart and sadly looks at this whole circus.

I also stand aside, look and sadly think that if the males continue their courtship in this way, then waiting for the ducklings this year is useless ...

That female duck must have something going for her. :-)

Maybe:)

Awwwww that duck has angel wing. That’s what happens to ducks when they are given too much protein as babies. That’s why it’s important to never feed wild ducks. It sounds harsh but it’s in their best interest. I love watching ducks.
